Dr. Tomislav Bracanović / CV

Tomislav Bracanović (born 1973 in Split) is a senior research associate at the Institute of Philosophy in Zagreb, Croatia. He earned his PhD degree from the University of Zagreb in 2005. He published two monographs – Evolutionary Theory and the Nature of Morality (2007) and Normative Ethics (2018), both in Croatian – and a number of book chapters and articles in scholarly journals. Until 2018, he was associate professor of philosophy in Department of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb (Center for Croatian Studies). Since 2014, he is member of the UNESCO’s World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST). His research interests lie in ethics, applied ethics, philosophy of biology and philosophy of science and technology.
